I’m a civil engineer, a retired university lecturer. I’ve been taking photographs since the 1970’s, when I was in my teens and living on Tyneside. I’ve a few photos on Alamy (https://www.alamy.com/search/imageresults.aspx?pl=1&plno=483601), but I wanted to make this page so that I could do something more personal, without the limitations of stock photography. All the photos on this site will be half size, to reduce bandwidth. To give you an idea, I’ve put a 100% extract form the photo above here. This was a misty night, so atmosphere is more important here than sharpness!
